Saudi Fashion Commission signs deal to launch “Fashion District” as integrated destination for sector

Riyadh, Jan 26 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi Fashion Commission signed a memorandum of understanding with Four Directions Real Estate Development Company to launch the “Fashion District” as an integrated urban destination dedicated to the fashion sector, according to a statement issued on the sidelines of the fifth Real Estate Future Forum.
The initiative is designed to empower creative industries and support Riyadh’s positioning as a regional and global hub for the cultural economy.
The Fashion District project aims to develop the fashion ecosystem across the value chain, spanning design, production and training, as well as showcases and retail. Plans include fashion show venues, design and creative production studios, spaces to incubate talent and brands, along with hospitality facilities and workspaces.
The project is expected to strengthen investment attractiveness and align with the sector’s growth locally and internationally, the statement added.
Fashion Commission Chief Executive Officer Burak Cakmak described the Fashion District as an integrated ecosystem supporting the fashion value chain and expanding opportunities for creativity and investment, while reinforcing Riyadh’s standing in the cultural economy.
Four Directions co-founder and chief executive Mohammed Alzarah framed the partnership as part of a broader approach to building urban destinations with economic and cultural value, linking it to the creative economy and Riyadh’s profile as a global city for culture and design.
The cooperation was presented as part of the Fashion Commission’s efforts to expand investment and partnerships in the fashion sector through projects intended to support growth, broaden education and training opportunities and provide platforms for fashion showcases and design.
