Riyadh, January 13, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi Falcons Club released its 2026 events calendar after the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 registered 3,536 falcons across its main contests, with prizes exceeding SAR38 million.

The festival ran at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and ended after 17 days of competition.

Organisers said the participation total set a new world record for the number of falcons taking part, surpassing the festival’s previous benchmark, after the event had already received three Guinness World Records related to falcon participation.

This year’s programme added Mongolian falcons for the first time, with two dedicated Nova Falcon rounds and an additional round reserved exclusively for them. The club said the changes broadened the rounds and raised competition levels, with dedicated categories intended to ensure fair competition in Al-Melwah, which includes locally bred falcons and falcons from the international auction of breeding farms.

Saudi Falcons Club CEO Talal Al-Shamaisi said the festival aims to preserve falconry heritage, expand participation in the sport and promote environmental and social values, while bringing falconers together from around the world.

Under the 2026 calendar, the club said it will host the International Falcon Breeders Auction from Aug. 5 to 25, followed by the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition from Oct. 1 to 10.
