Saudi Falcons Club Auction to Begin Receiving Local Falcons on Thursday

RIYADH, Sept 30 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Saudi Falcons Club’s 2026 auction will begin receiving locally trapped falcons on Thursday as the kingdom’s annual falconry season gets under way, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The auction will continue until November 30, with field teams deployed across regions of Saudi Arabia to receive falconers and their birds and facilitate their transfer to the auction venue in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The club will provide transport and accommodation services, document sales and present falcons to buyers through live competitive bidding.
Saudi Falcons Club spokesman Waleed Al-Taweel said field teams had completed preparations for the start of the season and would support participants from the point a falcon is received through its transport, auction and final sale.
He said the auction is intended to organize the sale of locally trapped falcons, support falconers economically and help preserve falconry heritage.
Only juvenile migratory peregrine falcons trapped inside Saudi Arabia will be accepted. Adult peregrines and saker falcons are excluded as part of conservation measures aimed at protecting their populations.
The reception period will continue for two months, while auction nights will be broadcast on television channels and social media platforms
