Saudi Esports Federation Chairman Highlights Kingdom’s Global Role in Gaming Sector

Riyadh, Sept 2 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), underscored Saudi Arabia’s successful hosting of international esports events that demonstrated the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure capabilities.

Speaking during a panel discussion titled “Powering the Future of Gaming and Esports” at the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25), attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Prince Faisal pointed to the Esports World Cup, which over the past two years has drawn significant global participation and attendance.

Prince Faisal noted that the gaming sector is witnessing rapid expansion, with investments exceeding $40 billion. He highlighted the Saudi Team Falcons’ victory in the Esports World Cup as a milestone achievement for the Kingdom.

He added that Saudi Arabia has become a global hub for gaming and esports, supported by a national strategy led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. These efforts, he said, reflect the Kingdom’s vision to build a diversified digital economy, empower national talent, and attract international investment.
