Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah meets Syrian counterpart in Damascus

DAMASCUS, February 5, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan met Syrian Culture Minister Mohammed Yassin Saleh in Damascus on Thursday during an official visit tied to the Damascus International Book Fair 2026, where Saudi Arabia is guest of honor.


Prince Badr congratulated his Syrian counterpart on the launch of the fair and conveyed best wishes for further progress and prosperity for Syria.


The two sides reaffirmed cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Syria and discussed expanding joint cultural cooperation across multiple fields, alongside coordination on cultural issues of mutual interest.


The meeting was attended on the Saudi side by Royal Court Advisor Mohammed bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, Vice Minister of Culture Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez, Assistant Minister of Culture Rakan bin Ibrahim Al-Touq, Royal Court Advisor Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Muheisen, and Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, supervisor general of the King Abdulaziz Public Library.
