Saudi Culture Minister Attends UNESCO General Conference in Uzbekistan

SAMARKAND, November 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture, Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, attended the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, which runs from October 30 to November 13, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Culture, Prince Bader reaffirmed the Kingdom’s longstanding partnership with UNESCO and its commitment to international cooperation in education, science, and culture. He praised UNESCO’s role in promoting peace and mutual understanding.
“Today, as we commemorate eight decades of fruitful collaboration and shared success, we look forward to continuing this journey and advancing our collective efforts toward greater achievements,” Prince Bader said.
The minister highlighted Saudi Arabia’s support for UNESCO’s cultural initiatives, including the Saudi Fund for the Preservation of Culture and Heritage, which has supported 136 countries. He also noted the Kingdom’s selection to host the next UNESCO Global Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (MONDIACULT 2029) as evidence of its growing role in global cultural cooperation.
Prince Bader expressed confidence that Saudi Arabia’s continued partnership with UNESCO will remain a key pillar in building a “more prosperous and balanced global future.”
