Saudi Crown Prince meets Pakistan prime minister in Jeddah as regional tensions rise

Riyadh, March 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Jeddah on Thursday evening to review bilateral relations and discuss regional developments, Saudi state media reported.


The two leaders reviewed the close ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.


They also discussed regional developments, particularly the implications of the ongoing military escalation for the security and stability of the region and the wider world, and efforts to coordinate responses.


The meeting was attended by Minister of State and National Security Adviser Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and General Intelligence Presidency chief Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan.


Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also attended the meeting.
