Riyadh, Jan 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce announced the launch of a Ramadan sales season running from Feb. 1 to March 26, 2026, covering 54 days.
The ministry said the season will include Ramadan-related goods and Eid necessities, aiming to encourage early shopping ahead of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr period and reduce last-minute congestion.
Retail establishments and online stores can apply electronically for discount permits through the ministry’s sales platform, with participation not deducted from an establishment’s annual discount balance, it said.
Consumers will be able to verify discounts by scanning the barcode displayed on the official permit using a mobile phone camera, which will show the discount percentage, duration and establishment details.
Inspection teams will carry out field tours across regions of the Kingdom to monitor compliance and validate promotional offers, the ministry said.
