Saudi Civil Defense Delegation Visits Russian Emergency Ministry
RIYADH, September 17, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Civil Defense Director General Major General Dr. Hammoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj led a Ministry of Interior delegation on a visit to Russia’s emergency management ministry, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The delegation visited the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.
During the visit, Al-Faraj reviewed the Russian ministry’s operations and its responsibilities in emergency and disaster management. The delegation also received information about the work of search and rescue teams, the Civil Defense Academy and civil defense centers affiliated with the ministry.
The visit included discussions on practices and institutional experience related to civil defense, emergency response, disaster management, and search and rescue operations.
According to SPA, the visit formed part of reciprocal exchanges between the Saudi and Russian sides aimed at supporting cooperation and sharing technical knowledge in these fields.
SPA did not report any agreements, joint exercises or contracts resulting from the visit. It also did not provide the names of other delegation members or specify the city where the meetings took place.
