Saudi cabinet reviews regional developments, Vision 2030 progress in Jeddah session

RIYADH, April 28 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired a cabinet session in Jeddah that reviewed regional and international developments, the kingdom’s diplomatic contacts, and progress under Saudi Vision 2030.


The crown prince briefed the cabinet on a message from Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh on bilateral relations and on his consultations with the leaders of Syria, Lebanon, Switzerland, Ukraine, Japan, the Czech Republic and Bangladesh.


The cabinet also reviewed the outcomes of the Gulf Cooperation Council consultative summit hosted by Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed support for diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening regional security and global stability.


It discussed domestic affairs and Vision 2030 achievements, highlighting that 93% of key performance indicators had met annual targets, driven by structural, economic, financial and legislative reforms.


The cabinet called for intensified efforts in the Vision’s third phase to sustain momentum, accelerate implementation and support continued growth and prosperity.


It also praised government entities for progress in the 2026 Emerging Technologies Adoption Readiness Index and their role in advancing digital integration and innovative public services.


The cabinet approved a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding, including with Colombia in energy, Brunei and Somalia in sport, Portugal in economic cooperation and food safety, Qatar in direct investment promotion, Nigeria in customs cooperation, and Syria in news exchange.
