Saudi Crown Prince chairs Cabinet session in Jeddah




JEDDAH, May 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman chaired the Cabinet session in Jeddah, where ministers reviewed regional developments and condemned attacks on Gulf states, the Saudi Press Agency reported.


The Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on messages he received from Mauritanian President Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.


The Cabinet condemned attacks on the territories and territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait, and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for measures taken by the Gulf states to protect their security and stability.


The Cabinet also commended the outcomes of the third meeting of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council and said they reflected shared interest in strengthening bilateral relations.


It said Riyadh’s selection to host a United Nations digital government center confirmed Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting multilateral action, innovation and artificial intelligence technologies.


The Cabinet reviewed the state budget performance report for fiscal year 2026 and noted spending priorities including health, education, social development, water and energy infrastructure.


It also approved several agreements and memoranda of understanding, including cooperation with Russia on climate change, with Tunisia on mineral resources, with Bahrain on data and artificial intelligence, and the establishment of Kingdom University in Riyadh.
