Riyadh, March 10, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has activated a comprehensive operational plan for the final 10 days of Ramadan at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The plan is based on four main pillars: operational services, maintenance, crowd management and enrichment programs.

To manage the expected increase in visitors, authorities are using Internet of Things technology and color-coded screens to monitor crowd density in real time and guide worshippers toward less congested areas.

Maintenance operations have also been expanded to ensure the efficiency of air conditioning, lighting and sound systems during peak periods.

Crowd management measures include the use of interactive 3D maps and barcode tracking to help regulate movement inside the mosques.

For worshippers observing itikaf, the authority has introduced additional logistical and medical services, along with digital prayer guides and Braille copies of the Quran.

Officials said the measures aim to provide a smooth and high-quality spiritual experience for visitors during the final nights of Ramadan.
