VIENNA, June 17 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger in Vienna on Wednesday, where the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across several fields.


The meeting addressed efforts to expand cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Austria in support of mutual interests and the broader partnership between the two countries.


Prince Faisal renewed his congratulations to Austria on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027-2028 term. He expressed Saudi Arabia’s hope that Austria would contribute to international efforts to maintain peace and security, strengthen international law and support multilateral action.


The two ministers also discussed regional and international developments and welcomed the agreement reached between Iran and the United States. They stressed the importance of building on the step to support regional stability and promote political and diplomatic solutions to crises and disputes.


The talks also covered opportunities to expand economic and investment cooperation, including in energy, renewable energy and logistics services.


Both sides emphasized the importance of encouraging mutual investments, particularly in light of the opportunities offered by Saudi Vision 2030, with a focus on alternative energy and advanced technology sectors.


The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Austria Abdullah bin Khalid Tawlah and Mohammed Alyahya, advisor to the foreign minister.
