Saudi Arabia welcomes Yemen detainee exchange agreement

RIYADH, May 15 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia welcomed an agreement signed in Amman for the exchange of detainees in Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The kingdom described the agreement as a positive development that would help ease the humanitarian suffering of detainees and their families.
Saudi Arabia also said the deal could strengthen trust and support opportunities for security and stability.
The kingdom praised the efforts of all parties involved, as well as Jordan’s role in hosting the negotiations over the past months.
It also commended the efforts of the Office of the U.N. Special Envoy for Yemen and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Saudi Arabia reiterated support for efforts to achieve peace, security and stability in Yemen.
