Riyadh, October 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s welcome of the ceasefire agreement signed between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Afghanistan in Doha, aimed at establishing mechanisms to ensure lasting peace and stability between the two countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
“The Kingdom affirms its support for all regional and international efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability, and its constant commitment to ensuring security in a manner that achieves stability and prosperity for the brotherly peoples of Pakistan and Afghanistan,” the ministry said in an official statement.
Saudi Arabia also expressed hope that this positive step would contribute to ending border tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and pave the way for sustained dialogue and cooperation.
The ministry commended the diplomatic efforts and constructive roles played by the State of Qatar and the Republic of Türkiye in facilitating the agreement and supporting efforts to enhance regional peace and security.
