Saudi Arabia Welcomes Gaza Agreement, Backs Two-State Path

Riyadh, October 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomes the agreement on Gaza and the start of implementation of the first phase of President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the war in the Gaza Strip and pave the way for a comprehensive and just peace.

The Kingdom praised the role of President Trump and the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye in reaching the agreement.

Riyadh expressed hope that the step will alleviate humanitarian suffering in Gaza, achieve a full Israeli withdrawal, restore security and stability, and launch practical measures toward a just, comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with UN resolutions, the Arab Peace Initiative, and the New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine.
