Saudi Arabia Warns Visa Overstayers of Fines, Imprisonment and Deportation


RIYADH, July 13, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has warned that expatriates who remain in the Kingdom after their visas expire face fines of up to SAR50,000, imprisonment for up to six months and deportation.


The ministry urged members of the public to report violations of residency, labor and border security regulations.


Reports can be submitted by calling 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Eastern regions, or 999 in all other areas of the Kingdom.
