RIYADH, July 25, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudi Arabia carried out strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen’s Hodeidah following an attack on a Saudi vessel in the Red Sea on Friday, the Coalition Joint Forces Command said.
The coalition described the operation as a “proportionate military response” to the Houthi attack.
“If the Houthi militia continues its hostile actions, they will be met with a response without leniency,” the command said.
Coalition spokesperson Staff Major General Turki Al-Malki described the attack on the Saudi vessel as a “cowardly and reckless act.”
Al-Malki said Hodeidah port was not targeted during the Saudi strikes.
Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah television earlier reported that a worker at a telecommunications building in Hodeidah was injured in the operation.
