Saudi Arabia says East-West pipeline restored to full capacity after attacks

RIYADH, April 12, 2026, Saudi Arabia Breaking News - Saudi Arabia has restored full pumping capacity through its East-West pipeline and recovered lost output at the Manifa oilfield following attacks that disrupted parts of the kingdom’s energy infrastructure, the Energy Ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry said operational and technical teams had restored the pipeline’s full pumping capacity of about 7 million barrels per day within a short period, according to a statement carried by state media.

It also said the kingdom had recovered around 300,000 barrels per day of affected production at the Manifa field.

In a statement issued on April 9, the ministry had said the attacks had led to the loss of about 700,000 barrels per day of pumping capacity through the East-West pipeline, while output at both the Manifa and Khurais fields had each been reduced by around 300,000 barrels per day.

Work is still under way to restore full production capacity at the Khurais field, the ministry said, adding that a further announcement would be made once the process is completed.

The ministry said the swift recovery underscored the operational resilience of Saudi Aramco and the kingdom’s broader energy system, helping ensure continuity of supplies to domestic and global markets.
