Riyadh, October 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) released its Construction Cost Index (CCI) bulletin for September 2025, showing a 0.7% year-on-year increase in construction costs across Saudi Arabia, the authority announced on Wednesday.

The rise was driven by a 0.8% increase in residential construction costs and a 0.6% increase in non-residential costs, reflecting continued activity in the Kingdom’s construction and real estate sectors.

According to GASTAT, the bulletin is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance statistical products for vital economic sectors, providing reliable data and accurate estimates derived from detailed analyses of materials, labor, equipment rental, and energy costs.

The CCI serves as a key reference for contractors, real estate developers, and government authorities, supporting effective planning and evaluation of construction projects in line with the Kingdom’s development goals.

Month-on-month, the index showed price stability in September compared to August 2025, with both residential and non-residential costs remaining largely unchanged.
