Saudi Arabia Ranks Among World’s Top 10 Countries for Private AI Investment

RIYADH, August 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s government data network enables more than 60 public entities to integrate information while retaining it within their own systems, according to the World Bank’s World Development Report 2026.

The report, titled The Promise of Artificial Intelligence, highlighted the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority’s role in building the infrastructure behind that network. It presented the arrangement as a model for organized and secure data sharing between government entities.

Saudi Arabia was also placed among the world’s top 10 countries for private investment in artificial intelligence. The report linked that position to the Kingdom’s ability to develop its technology environment and attract specialized talent.

In 2025, Saudi Arabia ranked among the economies recording the highest net inflows of AI professionals per 10,000 LinkedIn members. A separate measure cited in the report recorded a net inflow of 3.08 for elite AI talent in the Kingdom during the same year.

The report’s release coincides with Saudi Arabia’s designation of 2026 as the “Year of Artificial Intelligence.” The initiative forms part of the Kingdom’s efforts under Saudi Vision 2030 to develop a data-driven economy supported by computing and innovation.
