RIYADH, Oct 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia has provided Yemen with a new financial installment worth more than SAR224 million through the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, supporting state operating expenses and salary payments, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The funding is intended to help maintain regular government disbursements and salaries while strengthening fiscal management and supporting broader economic and social stability.

The assistance is also expected to support household incomes, purchasing power and activity across commercial markets.

Saudi Arabia’s development and economic assistance to Yemen totaled more than $12.6 billion between 2012 and 2026, including deposits and grants to the Central Bank of Yemen aimed at supporting fiscal balance and macroeconomic stability.

The assistance has also supported Yemeni institutions in maintaining public services and addressing economic and social pressures.

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen has implemented 300 projects and initiatives across eight sectors, covering infrastructure, public services, institutional capacity and job creation.
