Saudi Arabia offers condolences to Qatar and Türkiye over helicopter crash

RIYADH, March 22, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the families of those killed, as well as to the governments and people of Qatar and Türkiye, following a helicopter crash in Qatari territorial waters.
The crash occurred during a routine mission after the aircraft suffered a technical malfunction, resulting in the deaths of crew members from the Qatari armed forces and joint Qatari-Turkish forces.
In a statement, the ministry expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and affirmed support for the governments and people of Qatar and Türkiye in the wake of the incident.
The Kingdom also extended its wishes for safety and security.
