Saudi Arabia Launches eight-language Hajj Health guide covering heatstroke, respiratory risks and first aid

RIYADH, May 7 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health and the Public Health Authority (Waqaya) have launched a comprehensive health guide for the Hajj season 1447 AH, available in eight languages – Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Turkish and Malay – to reach pilgrims of diverse nationalities.
The guide covers health prevention across all stages of the pilgrim’s journey, with dedicated sections on protection against heat exhaustion and strike, limiting respiratory infections in high – density settings, and first aid instructions to improve pilgrims’ ability to handle emergencies before accessing medical care.
Additional sections address priority groups – offering tailored guidance to help manage health during Hajj and reduce potential complications – alongside measures to ensure food safety and prevent foodborne illness.
The initiative is part of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030. The Ministry of Health and Weqaya said they remain committed to developing awareness content that promotes preventive behaviors and enables pilgrims to perform rituals in a safe environment.
