Saudi Arabia Highlights Sport’s Role in Promoting Dialogue at UN Event

NEW YORK, June 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Abdulaziz Alwasil participated in a U.N. event in New York on the role of sport in promoting dialogue among peoples, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Alwasil said sport is a universal language that helps build understanding, strengthen ties and promote cooperation and peace among nations.
He reviewed the progress of Saudi Arabia’s sports sector under Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s growing presence in international sport.
Alwasil cited Saudi Arabia’s upcoming hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2034 as part of that progress.
He also highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to contributing to the development of football worldwide and promoting the values of peace and tolerance.
