BERLIN, September 8, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche in Berlin on Monday to discuss economic cooperation, energy partnerships and maritime security.


The ministers reviewed bilateral economic relations and explored opportunities to broaden the partnership between Saudi Arabia and Germany.


Their discussions focused on increasing trade and investment, making use of the capabilities available in both countries and opening new areas of cooperation in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.


The two sides underlined the importance of strengthening relations in the energy sector, including cooperation on energy security and sustainability.


They also discussed improving the resilience of supply chains amid ongoing international and regional challenges.


Prince Faisal and Reiche stressed the importance of ensuring the security and safety of waterways and protecting freedom of commercial navigation.


They said these efforts would help limit the effects of current crises while supporting the stability of international energy markets and the global economy.


The meeting formed part of Prince Faisal’s official visit to Germany.
