The talks also covered expanding cooperation on network development and digital capabilities, building on existing partnerships with Ericsson, according to a ministry statement.

Both sides highlighted Saudi Arabia as an attractive market for investment in telecommunications, technology and artificial intelligence, citing what they described as a supportive growth environment, a strong partnership ecosystem and fast-moving national projects.

Ericsson’s presence in the kingdom includes its regional headquarters in Riyadh, partnerships with government entities and operators, and applications across key sectors, the statement said.

Ekholm said Saudi Arabia offered an attractive investment environment driven by long-term vision, digital ambition and a growing innovation ecosystem.
