Saudi Arabia condemns RSF attack on hospital in Sudan’s White Nile state

RIYADH, April 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia condemned on Saturday an attack by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces on a hospital in Al-Jabalain in White Nile state that killed and wounded several people, including medical staff, according to a foreign ministry statement carried by state media.

The kingdom said such acts could not be justified under any circumstances and described them as a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law and the principles of Islam.

Saudi Arabia called for an immediate halt to the violations and urged compliance with the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023, which commits parties to the protection of civilians in Sudan.

The kingdom also renewed its support for preserving Sudan’s unity and its legitimate institutions, saying this remained the only path toward meeting the Sudanese people’s aspirations for security and stability.
