RIYADH, March 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed Saudi Arabia’s condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom, Gulf Cooperation Council states and other countries, according to an official statement issued Monday.

The ministry said the attacks cannot be accepted or justified and reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia retains the full right to take all measures necessary to protect its security, sovereignty and the safety of citizens and residents.

The statement said attacks targeting civilian sites, airports and oil facilities represent a violation of international law and threaten regional security and stability.

Saudi Arabia also said remarks by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stating that Iran had no plans to attack neighbouring countries had not been reflected on the ground.

According to the statement, Iranian attacks continued during and after the Iranian president’s remarks.

The ministry also rejected claims that fighter jets or refuelling aircraft had launched from Saudi territory to take part in the war, saying the aircraft were conducting air patrols to monitor and protect the airspace of the kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council states from missiles and drones.

Saudi Arabia warned that continued Iranian attacks could lead to further escalation and said the developments could have significant implications for relations now and in the future.
