Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Attacks Across Gulf and Demands Immediate Halt

RIYADH, July 14, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Iranian attacks against several Gulf states and Jordan on Tuesday, holding Tehran responsible for the consequences of continued regional escalation and demanding an immediate end to the violations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned attacks targeting Kuwaiti border posts and an offshore drilling platform operated by Kuwait Oil Company.

It also denounced the attack against Kuwait’s Consulate General in Basra and attacks on two Emirati oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The ministry cited continuing Iranian threats to regional security through attacks against Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar.

Saudi Arabia categorically rejected violations of the sovereignty of the affected countries and accused Iran of destabilizing conduct that undermines regional security and stability.

The ministry said the attacks violated international law, the charters of the United Nations and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Kingdom called on Iran to cease the attacks immediately to protect the region’s security, stability and safety.

Saudi Arabia also reiterated its full solidarity with the affected countries and supported all measures they take to safeguard their sovereignty.
