Saudi Arabia Condemns Colombia’s Opening of Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem

RIYADH, October 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia condemned the Colombian government’s opening of an embassy in occupied Jerusalem, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The ministry described the move as a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international resolutions, and an infringement of the city’s legal and historical status.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the decision contradicted the established international position on Jerusalem’s legal and historical status.

The ministry called on the international community, including the United Nations Security Council, to fulfil its legal and moral responsibilities and take urgent action to halt Israeli policies it described as illegal. It said those policies sought to impose a new reality by force and undermined prospects for a just and lasting peace.
