Riyadh rejects violence against diplomats and calls for protection of diplomatic missions under international law
RIYADH, April 5, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry on Sunday condemned acts of rioting, assaults and attempted vandalism targeting the United Arab Emirates embassy and the residence of its head of mission in Damascus, as well as offenses against UAE national symbols.
The kingdom rejected the attacks and all forms of violence against diplomats, the ministry said.
It also stressed the need to ensure the protection of diplomats and diplomatic missions in accordance with relevant international laws and conventions.
