Saudi Arabia Condemns Attack on Al-Fashir Mosque, Urges End to Sudan Conflict

Riyadh, Sept 21, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces the attack that targeted Al-Daraja neighborhood mosque in the city of Al-Fashir on September 19, which killed and injured numerous individuals performing fajr prayer.
The ministry described the attack as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s rejection of assaults on civilians. It called for an immediate cessation of the war in Sudan and urged sparing the country and its people from further suffering and destruction.
The statement emphasized the need to protect civilians and to implement the Jeddah Declaration of Commitment to Protect the Civilians of Sudan, signed on May 11, 2023.
Saudi Arabia also extended its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
