Saudi Arabia Boosts Pakistan Support With $8 Billion in Deposits

RIYADH, April 16 — Saudi Arabia has extended the term of an existing $5 billion deposit at the State Bank of Pakistan and announced an additional $3 billion deposit in support of Pakistan’s economy.
The move comes under directives from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, SPA reported.
Saudi Arabia said the assistance is intended to support Pakistan’s economic stability and strengthen resilience amid global economic challenges.
The kingdom described the move as part of ongoing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and said it reflected its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economic growth.
