Saudi Arabia Begins Status Correction Procedures for Yemenis Residing Irregularly in Kingdom

RIYADH, Oct 5 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced the start of procedures to regularize the status of Yemeni nationals present in the Kingdom through irregular means, following directives from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The move came in response to a request from Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Ministry of Interior said the status correction process is being carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).
Saudi authorities described the measure as part of the Kingdom leadership’s continued support for the Yemeni people.
The ministry said Yemeni nationals seeking to benefit from the correction process must hold a valid Yemeni passport.
It added that the official start date, eligibility rules and procedural requirements will be announced through the official accounts of the General Directorate of Passports and other relevant authorities.
