Saudi Arabia and Syria Sign Four Transport and Logistics Agreements and Memoranda

RIYADH, August 28 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia and Syria signed four agreements and memoranda covering roads, railways, civil aviation and postal services during an official visit by Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser.
Al-Jasser met Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa to review bilateral relations and discuss additional joint initiatives. He led a delegation of public- and private-sector officials focused on cooperation across transport and logistics.
Al-Jasser and Syrian Minister of Transport Yarob Badr signed two memoranda addressing roads and railways, including technical studies and the exchange of expertise.
Civil aviation discussions with President of the Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport Omar Al-Hosari resulted in an air transport agreement intended to strengthen connectivity. Al-Jasser and Syrian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdulsalam Haykal also signed an agreement covering postal services.
Al-Jasser separately met President of the Syrian General Authority for Borders and Customs Qutaiba Badawi to discuss maritime ports, logistics zones, dry ports and the movement of freight and goods. The signed instruments provide a framework for joint infrastructure projects, trade flows and public-private partnerships.
