Riyadh, September 24, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), and the State of Qatar, through the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), have jointly provided $89 million in financial support to the Syrian Arab Republic.

The funds will cover budgetary assistance for public sector employees over a three-month period to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential services to the Syrian people and strengthen the country’s budget allocations.

The initiative, implemented in coordination with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aims to support sustainable livelihoods and economic recovery. It will reinforce sustainability efforts, strengthen institutional systems, and expand financial sector inclusion to advance development across the country.

Officials said the joint contribution reflects international cooperation and solidarity in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, and underscores the importance of supporting opportunities for growth and prosperity for Syria and its people.
