Riyadh, September 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Sakhaa Program signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a used clothing recycling plant in the Riyadh Region, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The project aims to address the growing challenge of textile waste while raising public awareness about the importance of recycling. It will also generate job opportunities, support economic growth, and empower communities by providing clothing at nominal cost or free of charge.
Organizers said the initiative represents a step toward creating a pioneering national recycling model with a flexible operational framework that can be scaled and replicated across other regions. The project is designed to enhance sustainability and extend its positive impact both locally and internationally, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
