Riyadh, October 2, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Cultural House in Sakaka marked International Coffee Day with a celebration highlighting traditional Saudi coffee recipes and practices from across the Kingdom.
The event showcased the diversity of Saudi coffee preparation, with each region distinguished by unique roasting methods and ingredients.
Regional Highlights:
Northern Saudi Arabia: Deep, dark roast prepared over fire, enriched with cardamom.
Eastern region: Medium roast flavored with cardamom and saffron.
Southern region: Light roast infused with cloves, cinnamon, ginger, alongside cardamom and saffron.
Central region: Prepared with cardamom and saffron.
Western region: Distinguished by the addition of mastic.
Officials said Saudi coffee remains a cornerstone of traditional hospitality, often served with dates. By marking Saudi Coffee Days, the Sakaka Cultural House sought to highlight the Kingdom’s cultural diversity and the role of coffee as a unifying symbol of national identity
