WASHINGTON, August 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent remained aboard the larger presidential aircraft after President Donald Trump switched planes in Turkey last month, according to a U.S. official.
The Boeing 747 departed Turkey carrying White House staff, military personnel and members of the press, many of whom were unaware of Trump’s location.
The larger aircraft was believed to be the target of an Iranian threat considered credible enough to prompt the change in planes.
Trump travelled aboard a smaller aircraft to a military base in Britain. It was not immediately clear which members of his staff accompanied him.
