Royal Commission Launches Campaign Promoting Makkah’s Historical Landmarks

MAKKAH, July 23, Saudi Arabia Breaking News – The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has launched an awareness campaign highlighting Makkah’s historical and cultural landmarks and their religious and civilizational significance.

The campaign supports a broader strategy to preserve the city’s heritage, increase its cultural value and develop historical sites as sustainable educational and cultural destinations under Saudi Vision 2030.

The strategy has led to the development and rehabilitation of dozens of sites, the documentation of 60 landmarks, the opening of 27 sites to visitors and the establishment of seven visitor centers.

More than 17.5 million people have visited the sites, which recorded a satisfaction rate of 97.5%.
