RIYADH, April 13 - The Royal Commission for Riyadh City will participate as a strategic partner in the Sports Investment Forum 2026, due to be held in the Saudi capital from April 20 to 22, with broad participation from sports industry leaders, investors and chief executives from around the world.
The partnership reflects the commission's role in supporting the sports sector as a promising investment pillar in Riyadh and reinforces the city's growing profile as a regional hub for sports and active living.
Riyadh recently received the Global Active City certification, becoming the first city in the Middle East to obtain the designation in recognition of its efforts to promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity and community well-being.
Through the partnership, the commission aims to expand high-quality investment channels and strengthen the urban environment as a platform for sports activity across its economic dimensions, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to diversify the economy and boost the capital's appeal to local and international investors.
The commission said its approach links urban planning, infrastructure development and sports facilities with broader efforts to widen community participation in physical activity.
The forum is expected to serve as an international platform to attract capital and decision-makers, showcase major investment opportunities and help forge partnerships to accelerate growth in the sports sector and increase its contribution to the economy at both national and international levels.
