Riyadh, October 1, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has directed that a major street in Riyadh be named after the late Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, former head of the Council of Senior Scholars.
The directive was issued in recognition of the late Saudi grand mufti’s scholarly stature and his contributions to the service of the nation, Islam, and Muslims. Sheikh Abdulaziz devoted his life to the study and teaching of Islamic jurisprudence, guiding people through his knowledge, and making notable academic and practical contributions that advanced religious scholarship and education in the Kingdom.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh held several leading positions throughout his career and was regarded as one of the most influential scholars of his generation. His work strengthened the role of religious institutions in Saudi Arabia and left a lasting legacy within the Islamic world.
