RIYADH, June 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia’s Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Khalil bin Salamah inaugurated Riyadh International Industry Week 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday.

The event, organized by Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd., runs until June 24 and brings together companies, industrial specialists and executives from Saudi Arabia and abroad.

Bin Salamah said the event provides a platform to present the development of Saudi industry and its shift toward Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. He said the exhibition supports efforts to attract high-quality industrial investment and reflects the Kingdom’s expanding role in manufacturing.

He said Saudi Arabia’s industrial strategy focuses on increasing the value of natural resources by converting raw materials into value-added products, supporting non-oil exports, economic diversification and the Kingdom’s position as a global industrial hub.

Riyadh Exhibitions Company Chief Executive Mohammed Al-Hussaini said the event includes 337 local and international companies from 17 countries.

The exhibition is being held alongside an international conference featuring panel discussions and more than 40 speakers from 12 countries, with sessions covering manufacturing, supply chains and industrial digital transformation.

Following the opening ceremony, bin Salamah toured the exhibition halls, where participating entities presented technologies, industrial solutions and products across manufacturing, plastics and petrochemicals, printing and packaging, and smart logistics services.

The event included the signing of a cooperation agreement between National Plastic Factory Company and Spain’s Figueras to manufacture stadium and theater seating in Saudi Arabia.

The first phase of the project will include investments of SAR10 million and is expected to support industrial knowledge transfer, local content and industry localization. The agreement was signed under the sponsorship of the National Industrial Development Center.
