MAKKAH, August 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has expanded its use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to support Umrah performers during the Umrah season.
The services are designed to improve multilingual access to religious guidance and practical information while helping accommodate increasing numbers of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
Among the technologies deployed is a smart robot that provides interactive guidance, religious content and information about locations and available services. It also offers real-time translation in several languages to improve communication with Umrah performers.
The initiative forms part of the presidency’s broader development of digital religious services at the Two Holy Mosques, with AI and interactive tools being used to improve service efficiency and visitors’ religious and educational experience.
