Red Sea Film Foundation and French Partners Announce Winners of 48Hr Film Challenge in Jeddah

Jeddah, Sept 21, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Red Sea Film Foundation, in partnership with the Alliance Française and the French Consulate in Jeddah, announced the winners of the fifth edition of the 48Hr Film Challenge during a ceremony at the foundation’s headquarters in historic Jeddah.
Faisal Baltyuor, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, said the initiative is part of the foundation’s mission to build an integrated film ecosystem in line with Saudi Vision 2030. He emphasized that cooperation with French institutions provides an important platform for Saudi filmmakers to showcase their creativity and perspectives.
French Consul General in Jeddah Mohammed Nehad highlighted the creativity of Saudi youth, noting that France is proud to support the initiative. He said the challenge strengthens cultural ties between the two countries and offers Saudi talent new opportunities, including artist residencies and access to international platforms.
Since its launch five years ago, the 48Hr Film Challenge has empowered more than 70 filmmakers in the Kingdom and helped launch the careers of several emerging industry figures.
