Qiblatain Mosque to Operate 24/7 by Royal Directive

Madinah, October 6, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed that the Qiblatain Mosque in Madinah remain open 24 hours a day, enabling worshippers to access the mosque and perform prayers at any time, authorities said.
Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, thanked King Salman and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their continued care for mosques and for enhancing services provided to pilgrims in the Kingdom. He said relevant authorities have begun operational measures to ensure the mosque’s full readiness for continuous operation.
Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, said the directive reflects the leadership’s interest in caring for mosques, particularly historic ones with special significance for Muslims. He added that the mosque is fully prepared for round-the-clock operation and that projects to develop mosques are ongoing.
The Qiblatain Mosque, noted for its religious and historical importance, will receive increased services to ensure worshippers can perform prayers with ease and comfort, the governor said.
