Qatar says Iranian drones attacked energy facilities

Doha, March 2, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Qatar said on Monday that two drones from Iran attacked its energy facilities, according to the Qatari Ministry of Defense.
The ministry said the drones targeted a water tank at a power plant in Mesaieed and an energy facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City linked to QatarEnergy.
It said damage would be assessed and an official statement issued later, adding that no casualties were reported.
Qatar is one of the world’s biggest gas exporters.
