Qatar PM backs de-escalation efforts in call with Iran security chief Larijani

DOHA, January 13, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani expressed Doha’s support on Tuesday for “all efforts aiming to de-escalate and peaceful solutions” during a phone call with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, Qatar’s foreign ministry said.

The ministry said the two discussed the latest regional developments, without directly mentioning ongoing protests.
