Qatar Emir, U.S. President Discuss Middle East De-Escalation

DOHA, May 29 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss developments in the Middle East and efforts to reduce escalation, Qatar News Agency reported.
The call addressed political and security developments in the region, as well as regional and international efforts aimed at strengthening stability.
Sheikh Tamim stressed the need to prioritise political and diplomatic solutions and dialogue between all parties to support regional security and prevent further escalation.
Trump expressed appreciation for Qatar’s role in supporting Pakistani mediation efforts and strengthening communication channels between the parties.
He also commended Qatar’s efforts to bring viewpoints closer and advance de-escalation efforts in the region.
The call also reviewed strategic relations between Qatar and the United States and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
